As most of you know, I collect tea stamps and love to use them to create beautiful cards and scrapbook pages. Today I will share a collection of tea cards I created using one of my favorite tea stamp sets called " Tea For Two" by Papertrey Ink.
Card #1 - "Teatime"
I stamped the tea leaf teapot in a mauve colored ink and stamped the teapot outline in chocolate brown ink. I then cut the teapot out and attached it with pop-up dots to give it dimension. The steam was stamped in brown ink and I added pearls.
I love using punches! The teatime tag was made by using an oval and scalloped oval punch. The sweet floral brad coordinates so well with the scalloped edges of the tag.
Card #2 - "Sip & Relax"
This is a very simple card layout, but adding the stamped polka dot teapot with a decorative brad really enhances this card.
Tip - Making paper ribbons is an easy way to use up some of your scrap paper.
Card #3 - "Feel Better Blend"
I love doing this "pleated skirt" technique on cards. It adds dimension and a sense of style.
Check out the filigree detail on this teapot. I added a few micro mini pearls to add extra dimension.
This "Tea For Two" acrylic stamp set (item #2131) made by Paperty Ink is fabulous! I love the simple packaging. The acrylic stamps actally come in a CD case. They even include a personal thank you card inside.
Not all acrylic stamps are made equal, but let me just tell you that Paperty Ink's quality is great. In addition, the stamps perform very well when you use pigment inks.
There are 4 different teapots and lots of tea sayings/quotes.
" Tea is instant wisdom ; just add water!"
"Take Time for Tea"
Side Note - Don't you just love my charming "Thistle" bone china tea cup made by Adderley? Simply stunning!
