Here is the 4th creative tea house post from my visit to the craft Design Hall in Nantou, Taiwan.
I have nicknamed this tea space....
For the love of bamboo weaving........
This gorgeous tea house displays so many different facets of bamboo weaving. I love the open lattice pattern used for the fold-over roof. It protects you from the sun, but allows a cool breeze to flow through.
It's so creative how the weaved bamboo balls were grouped together to form an amazing light fixture.
There is perfect contrast between the tightly weaved round bamboo seats and the bamboo slat floors.
The use of the cream/green stripe runners add a flowing softness to this house which has many different angles and bamboo textures.
The tea ware really ties everything together.........The cream color softens the atmosphere, the brown accents pick up the different shades of bamboo and the pale green water marks draw you to the green leaves displayed all around the tea house.
This very inviting tea house combines many different patterns, textures, shapes and angles, but carefully maintains a very natural balance. This is a perfect setting to gather around with friends and experience the joys of tea.
