The big freeze has arrived!
Here in NJ it's 7 degrees, but with the strong winds, it feels like 9 below.
Everything outside is frozen............
After dropping my little guy off at school this morning, I began to think about the tea I was going to drink in my cable knit mug when I returned home.
Suddenly I was quickly reminded of the brave crossing guards standing outside at each school intersection. Come rain or shine, they show up each school day to direct traffic and protect each child as they cross the street. How would they manage to stay warm on this frigid day?
TEA to the rescue! When I arrived home, I prepared several cups of hot "Grey Affair" with a slice of lemon and a dash of honey to coat the throat. I quickly jumped back into the car and hand-delivered tea to each of the local crossing guards in my area.
May you be inspired to share warm cups of tea with people who work outdoors in your community. Together we can all help each other get through this cold winter season safely!
