Kirsten Kristensen, host, owner and first lady of Oakhurst has a lovely tea house designed with presidential flair. I promise to share more in a separate post.
We enjoyed delicious warm chai scones, lemon curd and cream before the meeting started. Each attending member received a bag of scone mix which was generously donated by Sticky Fingers.
On the agenda were 2 power point presentations - "Fair Trade" shared by Susanna Reppert-Brill of The Rosemary House and "How to Sell Organic Tea & Food" shared by Kirsten Kristensen of The White House in Oakhurst. We also had a visit from Nancy Dillion who shared her challenging Hurricane Sandy experience. Her touching testimony was a reminder of how many people are still struggling and in need of help.
Our potluck lunch was definitely the highlight of the afternoon.
The antique teacup display was stunning!
Each member prepared a special organic dish.

I can't stop thinking about the delicious Tomato Bisque soup and the Chocolate Zucchini muffins. Just perfect for the fall-like weather we've been having. Yes, MATBA members definitely know how to throw down in the kitchen.
